Machine Learning 2024 Obergurgl / Venue & Bus Transfer

Both venue and accommodation of the meeting is Universitätszentrum Obergurgl which is conveniently located in an idyllic mountain village.

So please feel free to bring winter sport equipment and make sure you pack warm enough clothes/shoes (as well as slippers for inside the centre). Be prepared for alpine conditions!

There is a limited number of single rooms at the venue. Most rooms are double rooms with separate beds (136 Euros/night including a nice breakfast buffet and three course dinner). There is a surcharge for single rooms (=55 Euros per day) and a discount for students (=24 Euros per day). So if you are a student (PhDs count as students), please make sure you bring a student ID!

Transfer to/from Innsbruck

There will be a shuttle bus transfer to Obergurgl from Innsbruck for participants day before the workshop on 24.03 and from Obergurgl to Innsbruck on 01.04:

  • 24.03: departure at 18:00 from Innsbruck main station with a stop at Innsbruck airport around 18:20
  • 01.04: UPDATE arrival time in Innsbruck airport at 10:40, arrival time in Innsbruck main station 11:10.

Alternative transport:
1. Bus 320 to Oztal Banhof and then train to Innsbruck (check obb website)
2. Sharing a taxi with other participants wanting to travel earlier. Price is about 150 euro per taxi.
